East Kent councils to disband joint housing company

A housing services company created up by four councils is expected to be disbanded following ‘serious failings’ and a ‘loss of confidence’.

A housing services company created up by four councils is expected to be disbanded following ‘serious failings' and a ‘loss of confidence'.

Canterbury City Council, and Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet DCs established East Kent Housing (EKH) as an arms-length management organisation in 2011, giving it responsibility for 17,000 homes.
