Leeds City Council is set to appoint a civil servant as its new permanent chief executive.

Leeds City Council is set to appoint a civil servant as its new permanent chief executive.

Ed Whiting, currently director of cities and local growth in the Department for Business and Trade and Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government, has been appointed subject to a vote on 13 November.
