A lack of preparation during reorganisation left West Northamptonshire Council's planning department ‘ill equipped' and ‘unsupported,' members have admitted.

Senior councillors heard the service faced differences in predecessor councils' organisation, processes, IT and technology alongside a ‘significant' lack of resources and staff retention difficulties.
