Watchdogs have criticised the pace of improvements in provision for children with special educational needs and disability (SEND) in Stockton-on-Tees.

‘Significant areas of weakness in the local area's practice' were found by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in a joint inspection of Stockton-on-Tees BC and Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Clinical Commissioning Group.
