Our Climate Emergency Declaration in 2019 committed to making the council work towards net-carbon zero by 2030. Our Zero Carbon Craven project launched last year provides a significant piece of that jigsaw, achieving net-zero across our built assets.

To achieve that, the most impactful thing we could do was take steps to cut the carbon footprints of our seven key premises. We are retrofitting carbon reduction measures on to all seven properties, even the Remembrance Chapel at our crematorium.
