Asylum housing to be sourced outside of dispersal scheme

Asylum seekers could be housed in local authority areas that have not signed up to the dispersal scheme.

The Government expects an increase in the amount of accommodation that will be required after guaranteeing to continue to accommodate those whose asylum applications have been rejected and those granted refugee status, who would normally be expected to switch to mainstream housing support.
