Moves to strengthen the role of Section 151 officers in local enterprise partnerships (LEP) have been made by the Chartered Institute for Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).
CIPFA said the role of the s151 officer was gaining ‘greater prominence in the assurance model’ as the amount of public funding that LEPs are responsible for increases.
