Local Government leaders have urged ministers to consult them ahead of a White Paper on ‘structural and institutional reform’ of combined authorities.
The Queen’s Speech on Monday outlined that, in addition to ‘levelling’ up the powers between mayoral combined authorities in England, the paper would increase the number of mayors and the degree of devolution.
