Northamptonshire CC has asked for commissioners to be sent into the council as soon as possible, three weeks after communities secretary Sajid Javid announced plans of an intervention.
In a letter to the Mr Javid this week, interim chief executive Andrew Quincey and council leader Cllr Matthew Golby also said they want to work closely with district and borough councils in helping Northamptonshire get back on track.
