Communities secretary Robert Jenrick has written to every council in the country calling on them to adopt an international definition of anti-semitism or explain themselves.
It comes two years after Mr Jenrick’s predecessor, Sajid Javid, first encouraged councils to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-semitism, following the Government’s decision to do so.
