The independent chair of Knowsley MBC’s children’s services improvement board has praised the council’s chief executive for the turnaround achieved since an inadequate Ofsted rating.
Malcolm Newsam said Mike Harden and elected members had helped the council build a ‘very stable permanent social care workforce, a permanent management team and some high quality senior managers’.
