In the last six weeks I’ve moved to a new job in a local authority that is in intervention.
Whenever you start a new job there is always that first day at school feeling where your usual internal networks have been completely broken: needing to navigate your way through different processes and procedures; identify top priorities; and even learn to work your way round new buildings, systems, cultures and try and remember lots of new names.
