Inspectors expose SEND weaknesses in Bristol

Watchdogs have criticised Bristol City Council for ‘significant areas of weakness’ in its provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Together with North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group, Bristol has been ordered to provide a ‘written statement of action’ following a joint inspection by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
