Lately, when I wake up my four-year-old in the morning she will ask: ‘Is it Mummy day?’
Mummy day is a thing in our house because I no longer work on Fridays. Since last October CLES – the national organisation for local economies – has been trialling a four-day, full pay working week. It has now decided to make the trial permanent and, as of the end of this month, CLES will be a four-day week accredited organisation.
