Public finances remain robust

The public finances continue to remain robust despite uncertainty over Brexit, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

In the full financial year 2018/19 borrowing was £23.5bn - £18.3bn less than the previous year and the lowest for 17 years.
