SIGOMA warns RSG ‘could face eradication’ by 2018

Revenue support grant (RSG) faces being cut by about 21% in 2016/17 and some 45% in 2017/18, local government finance experts have calculated using Treasury data.

 
The Special Interest Group of Municipal Authorities (SIGOMA) said it based its figures on the cuts outlined by the Government as it launched its 2015 Spending Review.
