England’s local elections last month have thrown up a host of problems for many councils across the country. With around 100 English local authorities now under no overall control, weeks of wrangling have ensued for many.
As The MJ reports this week, there are suggestions that Labour’s National Executive Committee has been scuppering coalition plans with Liberal Democrats where no parties have taken an outright majority.
