Six councils to mull £34m recycling plant plans

Six councils are to be asked to give the go-ahead for the construction of a £34m recycling facility.

A business case to go before Coventry City Council’s cabinet next week suggests the council could make direct savings of £584,000 per year by treating recyclable waste in its own plant rather than using the private sector.
