Airport windfall for 10 councils

Greater Manchester’s 10 councils will receive a portion of a £60m dividend for being shareholders in the owner of the region’s airport, it has been announced.

Nine of the councils will each get £3m while the largest shareholder, Manchester City Council, will net £33m.
