All aboard the Euro gravy train

So the results of the local and European elections are known and much has been written both in terms of theories on the results and the impact /predictions for the General election next May 2015.

Ben Page of IPSOS/Mori had already advised that there is no evidence that the results of local or European elections have any bearing or correlation on the way people vote in a general election.

One thing this time round is for sure, if the turnout is the same for the General election as it was for the European, then those becoming MPs will do so with as little as 10% support of the whole electorate – a very sobering thought.
