Cheshire East Council has suspended its chief executive Mike Suarez while an independent investigation is undertaken.
Mr Suarez, who joined Cheshire East as chief executive in August 2013 from Lambeth LBC, where he was executive director of resources, is being represented by the Association of Local Authority Chief Executives.
