Care services near ‘breaking point’

Councils in Wales have warned soaring demand and staff shortages have begun to impact on care services.

The country’s move to COVID-19 alert level 0 has resulted in a spike in requests for community care, adding to the pressure of staff taking leave during the summer holidays, long and short-term absences and job vacancies.
