Demand for SEND support rises by quarter

The Local Government Association (LGA) has urged the Government to scrap high needs deficits to help meet demand from children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

It comes after new figures revealed the number of children requiring special needs support from English councils has increased by almost a quarter in a year.
