Government promises test and trace 'flexibility'

Councils have been offered greater support to conduct local COVID test and trace operations.

Communities secretary Robert Jenrick said the Government was helping to increase councils’ flexibility, enable enforcement and to draw on the armed forces after admitting they were more successful than the national NHS system.
