Education secretary Gillian Keegan has ordered Solihull MBC to improve senior oversight of its children’s services following fresh criticism by a Government-appointed commissioner.
Solihull has been subject to Whitehall-led intervention of its children’s services since early last year following the death of six-year-old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, who was killed by his carers in 2020.
