'Leading contributor' to combined authority to retire

Walsall MBC chief executive Paul Sheehan has announced his intention to retire later this year, ending a career in local government spanning 41 years. 

Mr Sheehan said it had been an ‘honour’ to have led Walsall MBC for the past nine years, adding that the timing of the announcement was to enable a smooth handover.
