Mayors snubbed over Towns Fund

Ministers ignored advice to consult mayors during the controversial selection process for the Towns Fund, MPs have been told.

The Public Accounts Committee is looking at how towns were chosen to receive the £25m funding following accusations that all but one were either held by Conservative MPs or were marginal targets in the last General Election.
