Next Government urged to look at devolving air passenger duty

The leader of a Labour council in the shadow of Heathrow Airport has urged the next Government to look at devolving air passenger duty (APD).

Hounslow LBC leader Shantanu Rajawat said the current Conservative Government had ‘no appetite’ to devolve the duty but he was keen for a future Labour Government to ‘look at it as part of a wider package of devolution’.
