Sector braced for 4% hike in pay bill

Local government employers are preparing for an overall increase in the national local government pay bill of up to 4.16%, The MJ understands.

The emerging ‘preferred’ option of the employers’ national joint working group, which has been considering a range of options on a without prejudice basis, is believed to involve a two-year deal from April 2018.
