More than £130m has been spent on bidding for local government funding pots, new research has uncovered.
Since 2019, councils have spent £55m on applications to central Government for cash while another £75m has been spent in the form of capacity funding provided by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).
