Unlocking the Telford land deal

Home to the legendary Iron Bridge and the birthplace of the industrial revolution, the borough of Telford and Wrekin has a rich history of innovation.

As it celebrates its 50th year since its inception as a new town, Telford has emerged as an international hub for advanced manufacturing supply chains, plastics and polymer production and more recently, agritech. However, despite these inherent strengths, as a local authority we’ve grappled with the same commercial challenges as towns and cities across the UK – specifically, how to create a genuinely productive business support service that aids expansion and, crucially, attracts investment.
