‘We need to myth-bust here’

Statistics  tell us that this country has one of the safest child protection systems in the world, according to Rachel Dickinson.

But Ms Dickinson, who took on the presidency of the Association of  Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS) in April, believes that while we’ve made great progress in the 30 years since the 1989 Children Act, that progress is at risk because of poverty.
