ADCS head calls for local funding model for children's mental health

The head of England’s children’s services chiefs has called for a new place-based funding model for children’s mental health similar to the Better Care Fund.

Speaking ahead of his speech today to the Association of Directors of Children’s Services’ annual conference, ADCS president John Pearce told The MJ: ‘I’m looking at something that forces integration and pooling of resources for children’s mental health, and also more broadly for child health services with social care.
