What about BOB? Lib Dems outline service integration plans

Local public services would be made integrate better under plans outlined at the Liberal Democrats’ Party conference in Glasgow.

Entitled ‘Protecting public services and making them work for you’ the paper sets out proposals for public service reform to make provision more locally accountable, accessible and transparent.

Key ambitions include extending provision of GP services to the evening and weekends, improving local transport in rural areas and giving young people aged 16 to 21 reduced bus fares.

But the paper also sets out ways for integrating ‘different parts of public services’ which ‘are fragmented, working separately or even in conflict with each other,’ the paper stated
