It is time for local government to call out unworkable pseudo-market systems

While voters can be fickle, there is an underlying trend that should worry politicians across all parties.

According to a recent Ipsos Political Monitor report, three in four think Britain is becoming a worse place to live. And that statistic was revealed before the reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) debacle in schools and public buildings hit the headlines.
