How Barnsley MBC worked in the open to achieve digital success

Like many systems, Information Management Systems are often overlooked unless something has gone wrong. Either payments get made, or they don’t, and people tend to only notice the system when it fails.

Issues that arise when processing payments can have a real impact on peoples’ lives, and we saw an opportunity to improve the service at Barnsley. As a council we are always looking for ways that we can drive forward digital change, so we took action.
