Police commissioner suspends fire service takeover

Hertfordshire’s police and crime commissioner has halted his proposed takeover of the county’s fire service.

David Lloyd has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hertfordshire CC, under which he has agreed to suspend his business case for taking on responsibility for Herts Fire and Rescue Service.
