Tees Valley councils to learn extent of financial risk from Teeswork scheme

The financial risk faced by the five councils within the Tees Valley Combined Authority is set to be laid bare in top legal advice.

A proposed action plan around the Teeswork regeneration scheme reveals that ‘King’s Counsel’ advice will be shared with monitoring officers at Darlington, Redcar & Cleveland, Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees BCs and Middlesbrough Council later this month on the financial risks and liabilities they face from the project.
