The prize is additional and fairer funding - not just redistribution

The second District Councils Network conference provided an opportunity to consider the challenges we continue to face in respect of growth, health and housing. My attention was gripped by a session on fairer funding.

This subject all too often continues to feel vague and conceptual, but as the Government continues to consult, it seems to me we could have a major opportunity to increase the size of the cake for our communities, while maximising our ability to collaborate around key agendas.
