Not only the private sector is entrepreneurial

We hear a lot about innovation in the context of private and public sectors, with arguments often weighted in favour of the private sector being more entrepreneurial, cutting-edge, commercial and responsive in identifying and seizing business opportunities.

So it was disappointing to hear comment at a recent public committee meeting that councils aren’t renowned for being entrepreneurial or spotting and taking advantage of business and investment opportunities.
